The Book Centre is the result of much love and hard work by devotee volunteers over the last few years now operating from a fixed address, a shop worthy of Swami's organisation. The shop itself has been open since August 1996.
Mission statement
To have available the books and material that contain the teachings of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and to offer them to devotees at the lowest possible cost.
7 days a week
The Book Centre is run entirely by volunteers. Some of them serve in the shop, some of them look after the administration, ordering, packing and despatching, and some give information about Swami and the Sai organisation 7 days of the week (11am to 5pm weekdays and 11am to 3pm on weekends).
Over 300 book titles
The only shop in UK specialising exclusively in books, tapes and videos and DVDs of Sathya Sai Baba, many of them from UK and others imported from India, USA, West Indies, Sri Lanka and other countries. There are over 300 book titles, many by Sai Baba himself, about him and some about his teachings. There's also a multifaith section with books on meditation and other spiritual practices, a children's section, over 100 videos, many showing Swami at darshan time or giving talks at his ashrams and hundreds of tapes and CDs of spiritual music and talks on the teachings or devotees' experiences of Swami.
We recently added a number of DVDs which have been converted from the most popular videos.
At the Book Centre you can also purchase vibhuti, incense, photos of Swami for your shrine room and personal mementos like pendants, keyrings, stickers etc.
Sri Sathya Sai Trust
Any excess funds are channelled to the right causes and for the benefit of the organisation in spreading Swami's message.

How to get to the Sathya Sai Book Centre
By car: From the North Circular Road (A406), take the A5 (Edgware Road) going north, then after Colindale NW9 shops, the last turning on your left is Hay Lane (see map).
By Tube/Bus: First, reach Kingsbury (Jubilee Line) or Colindale (Northern Line) then catch the 204 Bus and ask for Hay Lane shops, the bus will drop you nearly outside the Sathya Sai Book Centre. (see map).
